Skip to main contentYour account is an asset
When you use your Umi wallet across DeFi, games, and other apps, you build value:
- Reputation and levels in games
- Airdrop eligibility from farming activity
- Transaction history that qualifies for rewards
- Positions in protocols across multiple chains
- Whitelist spots and early access earned over time
With Umi, all of this is tied to your dWallet. And you can sell it.
Withdraw and sell your dWallet
At any point, you can withdraw your dWallet from Umi and list it for sale on Drip through the account marketplace.
How it works:
- Withdraw your dWallet from your Umi Signer
- The dWallet becomes a tradeable asset on Sui
- List it on Drip with your asking price
- Buyer purchases and receives full control of the wallet
The buyer gets everything: the addresses, the history, the reputation, the positions. They can import the dWallet into their own Umi account or use it however they want.
Zero-trust account trading
This is the first time account trading can happen with zero trust across the entire crypto ecosystem.
The problem before:
Selling a wallet meant giving someone your seed phrase. You had to trust them to pay. They had to trust you not to recover it later. Both sides took risk.
With Umi:
- The dWallet transfer is atomic and on-chain
- Payment and delivery happen in the same transaction
- No seed phrases change hands
- No way to recover the wallet after sale
- Full escrow protection through Drip
The buyer knows exactly what they are getting. The seller gets paid instantly. Neither has to trust the other.
What makes an account valuable
Airdrop farming
Wallets with extensive activity across protocols may qualify for future airdrops. Buyers can acquire pre-farmed wallets instead of spending months building history themselves.
Game progression
Leveled-up accounts in blockchain games have real value. Sell your max-level character wallet to someone who wants to skip the grind.
DeFi reputation
Some protocols offer better rates or access to wallets with proven history. Trade your established DeFi wallet to someone who needs that reputation.
Whitelist spots
Early access and whitelist spots are often tied to wallet addresses. If you earned a spot you will not use, sell the wallet to someone who will.
Protocol positions
Vested tokens, locked LP positions, governance power. All of it transfers with the wallet.
How this changes things
Before Umi, your on-chain identity was stuck with you. You could not easily transfer the value you built. You could not sell your gaming progress without risking a scam. You could not monetize your airdrop farming without trusting a stranger.
The account marketplace makes your wallet a liquid asset. Build value, sell it if you want, buy established accounts if you prefer. All trustless, all on Drip.
